We enjoyed seeing the time and effort people put into their block decorations, all while learning a bit more about why we do what we do.įans decorating blocks in Craftopia. People’s eyes lit up! Festival goers showed genuine interest and compassion for our programs and anger about the state of our criminal justice system. The most rewarding moments happened when we talked to people about why we host the jenga games. A fun and creative crowd flowed into our shady patch throughout the day to see what we were up to and catch a break from the hot sun. We set out all the team buckets to gather donations and get people hyped up for the games the next day. Our activities began Friday in the Craftopia area, where we set up our jenga decorating booth. The venue was absolutely stunning, with its abundant shade and rolling hills Everyone made sure we were well accommodated and prepared for the weekend’s activities. When we arrived, we were so warmly welcomed by the Dirtybird staff. Thank you to all the artists who signed up to compete in the games and who were extremely enthusiastic and supportive of our involvement: Ardalan, Britta Arnold, Christian Martin, Claude VonStroke, Chris Lorenzo, Cut Snake, Dances With White Girls, Deron Delgado, DJ E-Clyps, DJ Deeon, Don Rimini, Gene Farris, Justin Martin, J.Phlip, Lux Groove, kLL sMTH, Mark Starr, Sirus Hood, Unicorn Fukr, Walker & Royce, and Will Clarke. We were exhilarated to work with such a positive company and loving fan base. We participated in the festival’s games and activities with our tried and true Give a Beat jenga games for justice.
